Andrea Fugnanesi

The Chef, Andrea Fugnanesi, 25 years old, from Umbria. Graduated from the G. De Carolis Hotel Institute in Spoleto, he approached the kitchen at the age of 14 in the country pastry shop. His first experience in a brigade start in the kitchen of the Hotel Carducci in Cattolica, one of the best hotels of Riviera Romagnola.

From there it is a succession of seasons in 5-star luxury hotels in Rome, Porlezza, Aosta up to the Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi in ​​Bormio in Valtellina, as Sous Chef, where he stayed for a few years.

His mantra is: "Your job will take up a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do a job that you consider fantastic. And the only way to do a fantastic job is to love what you do." It is precisely this love that brings him to Brazil to represent his region for the Cooking Week for two consecutive years. He tells us: "I’ve discovered new ingredients and techniques that I will carry with me all my life". He has landed on TV as a Top Chef Italia competitor in 2017 too. Of which he says: "It was a significant and important experience for the great visibility that gave me."

Now he’s ready to represent the Grand Hotel della Posta where he wants to bring his idea of ​​cuisine: international and innovative, to give Sondrio a breath of fresh air.
